Māmaki Tea

Māmaki is a shrub indigenous to the Big Island of Hawai’I and grows wild above 2,500 feet. Hawaiians have been drinking it from the ancient times to purify body and soul. It is said to have medicinal properties to clean and balance the blood system. It is very high in antioxidants, and also contains beta-carotene, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and phosphorus. Māmaki tea does not contain caffeine.

How to Brew

1 tsp. per cup | Steep at least 10 minutes in hot water Traditionally Hawaiians brewed as long as 30-60 minutes. Same leaves can be used several times by adding more water. The longer you steep, the sweeter it gets and stronger the beneficial content. Very delicious with lemon grass.
