Going North on 190
Drive up Palani Road from Junction 11 & 190 in Downtown Kailua-Kona. Go uphill or "mauka" (Hawaiian for uphill) until you reach junction 180 & 190 (also known As Palani Junction). Continue heading north on 190 passing through Hina Lani Intersection exactly one mile, until you reach an intersecting road (only 1 stop sign) called Kaloko Drive and 190. There are yellow street signs on 190 showing that Kaloko Drive is approaching. Turn Right, go up Kaloko Drive 3 miles to the 3rd Hao Street (if you watch, you will pass Hao Street once, and then twice, until you get to the third Hao Street) and turn right on Hao Street. You will know you are at the third Hao Street because there are coffee signs hanging from a tree. Follow to end. We are at the end on the makai (downhill) side of the road.
Going South on 11
Driving Time should be approximately 30 minutes, versus one hour to one hour and a half to other plantations. Get onto the lower road out of Waikoloa (Queen Kaahumanu Highway, Highway 11) heading south towards Kona. Go all the way to the airport (Kona International Airport). Turn left on the next lighted intersection after the airport --Intersection of Queen Kaahumanu Highway and Kai'iminani Drive. Go uphill on Kai'iminani Drive all the way until it ends. Turn right onto Highway 190. Go south on 190 until you see a blue sign on the right side of the road that says "Kona Church of God". You will see yellow street signs indicating that Kaloko Drive is approaching. Turn left, go up Kaloko Drive 3 miles to the 3rd Hao Street You will pass Hao Street once, and then twice until you get to the third Hao Street and turn right on Hao Street. You will know you are at the third Hao Street because there are coffee signs hanging from a tree. Follow to end. We are at the end on the makai (downhill) side of the road.
